Genre-bending artist Joshua Epithet’s music sits somewhere between hip-hop, hyperpop and britpop. ‘So, This Is Living’ wanders from its hard-hitting verses, which place his distorted vocal against a grating accompaniment, into a chorus made up of multiple memorable hooks. The track is bold and brash, with Epithet commenting that “I love that all of my music sounds really hungry, like I’m starving for attention. Something I really wanted to give off on this album was desperation for validation from any source, whether that was your family or your friends, but tell it through 1.) a struggling actor dealing with the media and how they’re perceived by the world, and 2.)
